Detailed Itinerary
ISTANBUL
Istanbul is truly a world city, a city that everyone
should visit at least once in their lifetime. The Ménage a Med trip
starts in this exciting city. You should arrive at least 2-3 days early so that
you can explore this magnificent city. A host hotel will be announced for our
group in the coming months. As Byzantium, Constantinople and finally, Istanbul,
it has been the capital of three Empires, each leaving their mark in the form
of stunning palaces, castles, mosques, churches and monuments. The legacy of
its chequered past can be seen on every turn of the modern city. It is a city
of contrasts, bustling with the cacophony of 21st century life, and is yet
achingly beautiful. It is set in a stunning location, surrounded by water,
which is the narrow strait of the Bosphorus and the serene sea of Marmara
separating Europe from Asia. Istanbul has a foot in each, celebrating the best
of both heritages. Istanbul's most famous sites - The Blue Mosque or Sultan
Ahmet Cami, Aya Sofya (Hagia Sophia), Topkapi Sarayi (Palace) and the Grand
Bazaar (Kapali Çarsi) - are all within a 30-minute walk of each
other.
Limnos Limnos with one of the prettiest harbors in
Greece, beautiful beaches and picturesque, traditional villages untouched by
modern-day tourism, hardly fits with any Greek Island stereotypes. It lies low
with gently rolling hills, a lush green carpet in the spring that becomes
crackling yellow-brown in the summer. The landscape is dotted with fields of
grain, quirky scarecrows and beehives. Limnos was famous since antiquity for
its vineyards; Aristotle wrote about the traditional red wine of the island,
produced from a very ancient and unique variety of grape that he called Limnio
(locally referred as Kalambaki).
Mykonos Start the party
because Mykonos is party central. Our plan is to arrive offshore and anchor at
the famous paradise beach where we will head ashore on our Zodiacs and spend
the day on one of the wildest and party focused nude beaches in the world. As
the sun sets we will reposition to old town where we can head ashore late in
the evening to party until dawn. When you finally awake the next day you will
find that we have repositioned yet again this time anchored off of Super
Paradise where you can crawl ashore for another day in the sun, nude of
course.
Naxos Naxos Island is the largest and most fertile
of the Cyclades. Due to its important agricultural production, it was one of
the latest to open itself to tourism. For that reason, it has kept its
authentic beauty which attracts every year more and more visitors. Naxos has a
great variety of things to offer to the visitor: impressive mountainous
landscapes with many isolated traditional villages, some of Europes most
beautiful golden sandy beaches, a charming capital with its Venetian quarter,
picturesque fishing villages, many Byzantine churches, ruins and active night
life. Naxos is world famous for its endless golden sandy beaches with crystal
waters situated in the western coast. Some of these beaches has kept their
natural beauty and are considered as some of the most beautiful beaches in
Europe.
Paros In Lonely Planet's Greece Guide they call
Paros a sort of 'poor man's Mykonos'. Its an island for people who crave
style. In Paros you have the island for every man. Rich and poor, from the most
culturally aware to the most hedonistic bimbos and jocks, from hippy to
computer nerd and from foreigners to Greeks, they all come to Paros in the
summertime. Why? Well for one reason just about every ferry stops here. For
another reason, once people stop here some people do not want to leave. There
are plenty of beautiful beaches of all different sizes and shapes. There are
all sorts of water activities from kayaking to windsurfing and sailing. There
are yoga classes, Zen Meditation, dancing lessons and horseback riding on the
beaches and hills. There are great restaurants and plenty of nightlife
including bars that may make you feel like you never left Daytona Beach. And
there are hordes of people to interact with. Paros is 'the real thing' as they
say.Capn barefoot unhesitatingly rates it one of his favorite naturist
beaches. On the basis of a recent visit last September many of his contributors
think this is among the best beaches in the Cyclades; one said it was
reminiscent of the South Seas, another claimed to be in heaven there. The water
is clean, you can walk along the beach. Nudity is rampant and
encouraged.
Milos The Greek island of Milos in the Cyclades
is a surprise for the traveler adventurous enough to take a detour from
Santorini, Mykonos and the other popular islands. Milos, like Santorini is an
island that is not only rich in minerals but also in the things that travelers
come to Greece looking for: beautiful beaches, history, white-washed Cycladic
villages, excellent food and good-hearted people. Milos makes a perfect holiday
destination for those who want to experience Greece in all its beauty, without
the crowds that are found in the more popular Cyclades Islands.
Athens Maybe the perfect city to end this adventure and spend a few
days. Athens. The city with the most glorious history in the world, a city
worshiped by gods and people, a magical city. The enchanting capital of Greece
has always been a birthplace for civilization. It is the city where democracy
was born and most of the wise men of ancient times. The most important
civilization of ancient world flourished in Athens and relives through some of
the world's most formidable edifices. ??Who hasn't heard of the Acropolis of
Athens? Photos and history of the most famous archaeological monument in Europe
have made the world tour causing feelings of admiration by thousands of people.
Acropolis is nominated to be one of the 7 wonders of modern world. In fact the
trademark of Athens is one of the favorites. The Holy Rock of Acropolis dates
back to the 5th BC, the famous Golden Age of Periklis. Athens met times of
bloom and decline, but still shines under the Attic sky gazing the future.
Still sparkling like the marbles of Parthenon and the limpid white of Pentelic
marble.

Detailed Itinerary
St Martin One of the most popular of all Caribbean destinations,
Dutch Sint Maarten and French Saint Martin share this easily accessible island.
Less than 2083 km (1250 mi) from Miami, visitors discover rolling hills,
exceptional beaches, celebrated restaurants, duty-free shopping, interesting
historical sites, casinos and colorful markets. A full complement of land and
water activities as well as excursions to nearby islands are easily
arranged.
The capital and main city on the Dutch side, Philipsburg,
lies on a narrow strip of land between the Great Salt Pond to the north and
Great Bay, on the Caribbean Sea, to the south. Lovely old colonial style houses
with gingerbread fretwork mingle with the duty-free shops,
restaurants, cafes and nightclubs lining the two main thoroughfares, Front
Street and Back Street. By day and night, the town attracts cruise ship
passengers and other island visitors to its many and varied attractions. Maho
Bay, adjacent to the islands international airport at the southern edge
of the Simpson Bay Lagoon, is another center of activity with shops, casinos,
restaurants and a number of resort hotels.
The towns on the French side
have a beguiling West Indian charm combined with certain distinct touches of
France: open markets that are typically Caribbean, bakeries that are typically
French and seaside cafes that seem to have been transplanted intact from la
Côte d'Azur. The capital of Marigot is no longer the sleepy little
fishing village it once was. It has awakened to tourism, sprucing up its lovely
old houses, building new restaurants, shops, boat slips, marinas, a waterfront
promenade, a handsome new market place and a pier for yachts.
Martinique Martinique is for (beach) lovers. And foodies. And
divers. And hikers. And, especially, Francophiles. A marriage of Gallic
culture and Caribbean customs, this overseas department of France is a sunnier,
slightly less crowded version of the motherland.
People looking for the
more sophisticated pleasures, whether they be the kind you put on your plate or
the kind you put on a credit card, will be happy to know that good food and the
latest fashions arent optional here, but a mandatory fixture wherever
visitors congregate - especially in its harbor side capital,
Fort-de-France.
Volcanic in origin, the island is crowned by the
still-smoldering Mont Pelée, which wiped out Martiniques former
capital of St-Pierre in 1902. Theres plenty of hiking and nature-watching
on the slopes of the volcano. And since this is often called the Isle of
Flowers there are botanical gardens tucked into the rugged
landscape.
Long luscious beaches and loads of diving are the main
attractions in the south. Fishing villages dot the coasts; most of them have
managed to hang on their seafaring soul while offering plenty for visitors to
see and do.
Theres a lot going on here, but it all happens on
Caribbean time. Except for the mountainous north, its an exceptionally
easy island to drive around. One can surf at Presquîle de Caravelle
in the morning and make it back to Fort-de-France in time (avoiding rush hour)
to sample the citys budding nightlife.
Bonaire
Bonaires worldwide appeal to divers is its amazing reef-lined coast, all
of which is a national park. But while no diving (or snorkeling) initiate will
be disappointed, Bonaire also has much to offer above the surface, including
world-class windsurfing. Although the beaches are mostly slivers of rocky sand,
several take on a pink hue from ground coral washed ashore. Also in the pink
are the flamingos found throughout the salt flats and mangroves of the
south.
Bonaire has a real community feel: your innkeeper may be your
divemaster by day or your waiter at a friends restaurant at
night.
Much of the infrastructure on the island supports diving: where
else can you find a hotel with a drive-through air-tank refilling station?
However, there are some good restaurants, and the main town of Kralendijk has a
modest but enjoyable nightlife.
If youre not a diver or an
avid reader you may not find much to fill a week on Bonaire, but a few
days will pass delightfully. And just in case you forget why most people come,
check out the license plate of the car in front of you, it says:
Divers Paradise.
Curacao Curaçao
balances the real with the surreal. The real is a bustling island with a
traffic-bedeviled capital, Willemstad. The surreal is all the reasons that make
it an appealing place.
It has a rich history dating back to the 16th
century and central Willemstad boasts fascinating old buildings and excellent
museums. Remnants of plantations dot the countryside and some are now parks.
The west coast has oodles of beautiful little beaches, many good for
diving.
Aruba Aruba is the smallest island in the Leeward
group of the Dutch Caribbean islands, which also include Bonaire and
Curaçao; they are popularly known as the ABCs.
As the
westernmost island of the group, Aruba is the final link in the long Antillean
chain, lying 20km (12.5 miles) off the Venezuelan coast. The island is 30km
(19.6 miles) long and 9km (6 miles) across at its widest, and has a flat
landscape dominated by Jamanota Mountain (188m/617ft).
The west and
southwest coast, known as Palm Beach, boasts 11km (7 miles) of palm-fringed
powder-white sands Lean back and take it easy on Aruba: the best that Caribbean
sea, sand and sunshine have to offer. Arubas balmy breezes and relaxed
pace are just the tonic for any frazzled visitor; just like the soothing aloe
vera plant that is found everywhere on the island.
The surrounding
waters are populated by colorful creatures such as parrotfish splashed with
teal and gold, while bright pink flamingos populate the national park.
Aruba's capital, Oranjestad, also dazzles: orange facades brightly array the
architecture, indicating the island's historical ties with The Netherlands -
Aruba's head of state is still the Dutch ruling monarch.
Rosario
Island, Columbia Enjoy the Sun, the Air, and the Open Sea as you cruise
to a most beautiful place, The Rosario's
The Rosario Islands Natural
Park offers private facilities where all can enjoy the natural beauty and
nature. There is an impressive open water aquarium, where you'll enjoy a
dolphin show, sharks, giant turtles, and all kinds of tropical reef fauna. The
islands are coral formations which have grown in size over hundreds of years,
so just about anywhere you will find good Snorkling and Scuba Diving.
Also, the Rosario's still waters make it attractive for water sking, canoing,
swimming and wind surfing.
Colon, Panama About 50 miles
northwest of Panama City, Colón is home to the northern gateway of the
Panama Canal. Colón lies at the very heart of the country's rich history
and innovation. This important port town is less than an hour's drive from
Panama's most historical attractions, so it's easy to fit in visits to sites
like the Panama Railroad, Gatun Locks, and old Spanish fortress Fort San
Lorenzo. And of course, crystal blue waters and pure white sand are always a
sweet setting
Colóns is also famous for the Colón
Free Zone, a massive shopping showroom where wholesalers, retailers and the
general public shop.

3 Exciting
Ports - Puerto Vallarta, Cabo San Lucas, Ensenada
Each
port along the Mexican Riviera is filled with fun and adventure including
kayaking, zip lining, swimming with dolphins, scuba diving and much more.
You're never far from a beautiful beach or a good party. And, don't forget the
perfect spot on board to partake in the Mexican tradition of the afternoon
siesta is right by the pool. The zip lines here are not your usual casual
experience - but the adventurous will love the physical workout of this
experience.
Cabo San Lucas This party town on the
southernmost tip of Baja California provides a stunning combination of sea,
desert and mountains. Cabo has grown in the past few decades, with new resorts
along the beach called "the corridor," frequented by celebrities from Jessica
Simpson to John Mayer.
Aside from enjoying the beautiful scenery and
abundant wildlife, water sports, such as snorkeling, scuba diving and
parasailing, are popular and plentiful activities. The marlin fishing off of
Cabo is legendary, and championship golf courses are noteworthy, as well.
Cabo's large dock has several shops and open-air stalls, where merchants sell
everything from woven baskets to shell necklaces and coral jewelry. The town
itself offers few exciting highlights, other than rocker Sammy Hagar's "Cabo
Wabo Cantina," where the mostly American crowd goes wild nightly.
Cabo's signature landmark is El Arco ("The Arch"), a rock formation at the tip
of "Land's End," where the Pacific Ocean meets the Sea of Cortez. A boat trip
there is a must, if only to come face to face with the hundreds of noisy sea
lions who reside on the rock formations. Cruise lines offer a myriad of
excursions around El Arco, from glass-bottom boats to catamaran sails. If you
have time, hire a water taxi to take you to "Lovers Beach," the only beach in
the world bounded by two different oceans.
Puerto Vallarta
Puerto Vallarta is known for its quaint cobblestone streets, "old world" charm,
and thriving nightlife. The walkway along the bay is lined with sculptures,
many of which are said to bring good luck to those who touch them. Puerto
Vallarta's beaches, especially the unfortunately named Playa de los Muertos,
are known for great swimming and other water sports. But, it's the jungle beach
experience that sets Puerto Vallarta apart from other Mexican Riviera resorts.
Take a boat trip to Yelapa Beach across the Bay of Banderas, tucked at the base
of a jungle-covered mountain. A short hike takes you through lush tropical
vegetation to a waterfall.
The
new Fantasy Resort is located just a few minutes away from the
port. This is a great opportunity to go and get a sneak peek of
this popular new resort to see if you want to come back for an entire week. You
can sign up on board for a day pass (note: day passes are limited, so sign up
as soon as you get on board).
Ensenada This bustling seaport
a few hours from the California-Mexico border is known for deep sea fishing,
fabulous locally caught lobster, a seafront promenade and great shopping along
Avenida Primera. In addition to its beautiful coastline, Ensenada is famous for
"La Bufadora," an strong blowhole where tourists gather to hear and see (and
often, be drenched by) the geyser. Ensenada is also surrounded by a burgeoning
wine district. If time allows, try to visit some of the wineries, such as Cavas
Valmar and Bodegas de Santo Tomas. The wines are surprisingly good, and the
prices can't be beat!
