We Need you trip reports from Haulover Beach

"Wonderful beach for integral suntan." Haulover Beach is always very interesting. Easy access with wide parking lot, 6$ for daytime parking. No parking meters and nor need for rolls of quarters. Public beach is wide and long. North part of the beach is c/o and delimited by small wood fences. Passage from textile to c/o is unrestricted. Beach is surveyed by lifeguards. Chair and umbrella available 22$/day. Snack bar on the beach offering ice cream, beverages, candies, etc... Beach is cleaned every day and a few trash cans available along the beach. Restrooms with showers near the exit of the beach.

Sand is a bit coarse on the lower part of the beach but no rocks anywhere. The north part of c/o beach is more crowded than south (where swim suits are required). Users are a mixture of naturists, textiles, monokinis. Central part south of lifeguard tower 15 is particularly occupied by families and heteros couples or singles. Gays take place north of tower 15. Sexual activities were prohibited. Atmosphere is quiet, secure and relaxing with people of all ages, types and forms. Nobody bothered us. Perfect place to initiate (conversion)to naturism and to take advantage of beach, sea and sun in legal, secure and pleasant environment.

Beach volleyball court available for those searching more activities. No motor activities allowed on beach and in water. It is not the best place for snorkeling. Only few small fishes and rarely some gellyfishs. If you go in south Florida, dont miss this piece of heaven, and the feeling of walking, swimming and burning, all nude in the sun. Try it. You will return again, and again.

July 2010 - Butch & Double Dee
My husband and I read your July newsletter, and all the way down at the bottom, we saw the article about the World Record Skinny Dip attempt at Haulover Beach. When is it? This weekend! Let's go! So we did. Much to my surprise, it only took us 4 hours to drive, and by 11:30am, we were there. It was absolutely beautiful in every way. With all the beach umbrellas, the scene was very colorful -- like a rainbow -- which is also the way to describe the mix of people. Every person we talked to was genuinely friendly. And then there was the water. Never had we been to a beach where the water was so clean and warm. Most everyone stayed long past the official 3pm skinny dip, and returned Sunday as well. It's now our favorite beach, and we'll return soon and often.

Just had a chance to visit Haulover Beach and I wanted to say that I will be back as soon as I can! I had never been to a nude beach before so I didn't know what to expect. Well, the people were laid back and not once did I see any hint of trouble or of any bad situations. Just people relaxing and having fun with no hang-ups or attitudes. I appreciate this forum to let people know what a great place it is to visit.

Sept. 2007 - SW FL
My wife and I travel from SW Florida to Dade County nearly every Sept. so we can enjoy Haulover beach. We usually stay at a timeshare. We have gone for a few days other times of the year. We really enjoy Haulover. The people in our area are such prudes. (We are in our 60's)

The mix of people at the beach is as great as anywhere. Other countries, states, races, families, gay, seniors, great bodies; and all are friendly.

The gay men generally segregate themselves to the north end of the beach, but mixing is common and not uncomfortable.

There is a snack trailer most afternoons. Beach umbrellas and chases are rented (has been $5 each).

Volleyball nets are for anyone, I think you need to bring your ball.

The surf is usually mild, not enough for boarding.

Parking is paid, $5.00 each day. From the lot, across US A1A, to the beach is about 300 yards, including a tunnel, a stairway, a boardwalk, sandy paths, and asphalt. Local bus service is frequent, and may reduce the walk, we have not tried it.Remember, clothing optional, many leave their swimwear on, especially women wearing bottoms.

Haulover Beach is one of the most enjoyable days I can imagine. Regretably there is only one lodging choice within walking distance. I have stayed at the Ocean Palm many times and enjoy walking 100 yds. down the beach to the nude area. However Ocean Palm has no nonsmoking rooms and the pool area is in serious disrepair.I just went to beach and back to my room. Cranes from neighboring constructin hover overhead and rather unnerving to see them accidently dropa load of rebar sending construction workers scattering. Great Beach just no where to lodge close by. Its all condos.

We have been in Florida for over a year and we have gone to Haulover almost every Sunday. I still can't believe we are in the US each time we visit. It's great! People are friendly and there is no hassle. It is not a sexually charged environment. It is mostly quiet. The north end is gay and the south end is hetero. The water is aqua. There are families and couples, old and young. There are a few swinger types, which you can usually only detect by the vibe, not behavior. Enjoy!

There is a legislative push to make FL like the rest of the country by pushing the child abuse button (no naked adults in a child's view). Haulover is one of the safest naked places in the country, but it will be swept up with the broad brush of fear, so donate at sffb.com if you can.

My first vacation and attempt at some form of nudism. Haulover Beach is just beautiful, white sand for miles, very large beach area, and very friendly locals. It is very easy to get to.

You can take it all off here and it's legal.. I went topless at first, and it was a great feeling, just totally invigorating! I would highly recommend that you book a vacation to Miami Beach now.

We were on an overnight layover coming back from Jamaica and decided rent a car and make the trip to check out Haulover. It was in a word "GREAT". We certainly look forward to coming back and spending more time
