 Runaway Bay - Jamaica |

Here are a few trip reports submitted by
some of our clients. |
| June 2009 - soulmatestc |

A beautiful resort, nice people, great
food, lots of activities (for everyone). The few negative reports that we had
read prior to going made no sense to us at all. We had a hard time leaving and
will definitely return |

Hedo 3 was as wonderful as ever! We were
very pleased with our most recent trip "home." The staff was as courteous and
helpful as I have come to expect. They were repainting the exterior of the
resort during our stay, which as most of Jamaica is coastal, I'm sure is
necessary for maintenance reasons more than aesthetic.
The rooms were
very clean, and you make your choices about how much is cleaned and when, (ie.
bedding and towels). Other than the very minor inconvenience of the painting,
and the rain showers that happened about an hour every morning, the weather was
very cooperative, the rain is no problem if you're in the nude hot tub!
Would like to favorably mention John in the nude grill, those were
some awsome nachos and the rest of your food was wonderful as well. The ladies
serving at the nude bar, sorry I didn't catch all your names, and also
apologies for the volleyball interruptions, but wonderful service from you as
well as a smile with every drink.
The atmosphere was everything I
remembered from our previous trip, very open and inviting, laid back and fun.
The best trip yet, can't wait to get back, is it still too early to book next
year's trip? I believe Hedo 3 has ruined me for any other resort, everything
else seems a bit tame, or just uptight. A perfect place for a romantic getaway
with that special someone, very open and understanding atmosphere, when the
hardest decision of the day is whether or not to get up for that next drink, or
try to talk someone else into making the run, as it is almost 5 harrowing steps
from the hot tub to the bar, that is relaxed. Would definitely recommend this
resort to the open-minded and fun-loving. |

I am not the type to post reports but i
read a very negative report also from May of this year and felt i need to
respond.
I value other peoples thoughts, but i find it hard to believe
that the person stayed at the same resort we did. I feel bad for them that they
didn't like their trip, but if it's the Ritz you want, better to stay at the
Ritz. We were there May 8 - 12 (our 3rd trip to H3) and while there may be some
things that could use improvement we found the resort to be in fine shape, at
least for the most part. Was the resort run down? NO WAY. Could it use a little
work? SURE it could, but at a savings of over 30% compared to our first trip
here 6 years ago, thats OK with me.
This time there were less people
than usual, but the staff was great, food about the same as usual (not great,
but above average) and as usual the other guests were friendly and a lot of
fun. We had a great time.
As a comparison - about every other trip to
Jamaica we try out one of the "Luxury" resorts for a few days. This time we
spent our first 4 days at Half Moon at a cost of OVER 3 times more per night
than Hedonism 3. Sure, we would rate Half Moon's rooms, food, services, pool
etc WAY above Hedo3, but we have to rate the Hedo staff, guests and resort
"attitude" 5x more friendly and fun.
Also, we ended up bringing 4 big
pieces of luggage on this trip. Probably 3 1/2 of them carried "proper and
appropriate resort attire" for Half Moon and only 1/2 of one bag was enough to
fit our clothing needs (or lack of clothing needs) for Hedo 3.
When
comparing all-inclusive prices of well over $1100 per night for Half Moon to
the $300-400 range at Hedo 3, I can overlook a few missing pool tiles and some
walls that might could use some paint. And while I might not be very observant,
I can testify that the Covoissier came out of the same kind of bottle at both
resorts.
We should note that even at Half Moon our jacuzzi wasn't
working and it took a day and a half before they realised they couldn't fix it
and moved us to another room. (we did get a voucher for a free night if we stay
there again)
Conclusion: We don't spend much of our time going around
looking for problems, because we know its Jamaica, and there always will be a
few problems. (not just this time, but EVERYTIME, and not just at Hedo, but
everywhere). In my opinion the quickest way to ruin a Jamaica trip is to focus
on the things that aren't perfect. But if you go with a "no problem mon, no
worry, be happy" attitude, you still might notice a thing or two out of whack,
but you just won't care so much. |

This will not be a full day by day trip
report but just a few notes to give some feedback that hopefully makes it back
to the resort. We visited the resort a few years ago and thought then that it
needed some attention. It is in worse shape now. -Broken steps (tile edge
broken and jagged) -Broken walkway tiles all over the place -Tiles falling off
the pools and hottubs -Every bar smells of rancid beer -Poor water quality in
the pools and the hot tubs -Food quality mediocre -Rooms in very obvious need
of refurbishment to come up to a class 3 hotel level -Disco needs a major
overhaul. Wasn't sure it was possible to make the flat black/neon decor look
old and in need of a redo but they have managed somehow. In short, it reminds
me of a hotel that knows they are going to close the doors and are just milking
it for every last penny. Even the 'HEDONISM III' sogn from the rock wall is
missing. Considering the amount of money they charge, they should be doing a
better job on the resort.
Editors Note: As you
can see we post what we hear about the resorts... good or bad. We take comments
like these seriously and bring them to the attention of not only the resort
management but SuperClubs senior management as well. (we don't identify the
source of the comments unless requested by the source to do so)
We've
found that the guests that seem to get the most enjoyment from either of the
Hedo's are usually there for the "Hedo" state of mind instead of the facilities
themselves.
But just to be clear... even though virtually every
Jamaican resort or chain has shown at least some strain during this current
economic downturn... SuperClubs has made a major committment to its core
properties (including both Hedonisms and it's Breezes brand) to not only
continue... but improve over the near and long term. They've got the resources
and always pulled it off in the past... we have little doubt they will again.

We were at hedo 3 for out second stay last
year and this year. Both trips in March because of our anniversary on March
18th. The staff were like last year; best there is. Everyone does a way above
average job of making you feel welcome and go that one step further in their
work to make your stay the best.
Guest for the most part are friendly
and considerate, but there were a few spoilers who made public spectacles of
themselves at the quad pool hot tub during the day. Not expected and for the
most part, the smoking this time wasn't as bad; may have been the crowd ....
more considerate people than last time. Being nude for the most part of the
week in the quad area with no sexual pressure from anyone was fantastic even
though there was a lifestyle group there that week. Hope all the staff are
there next time and that we soon get to visit again. |

3rd year in a row that we've been to Hedo
III and it just keeps getting better and better. Kadian, who is part of the bar
staff in the Quad pool, is the best. Chef Keith in Pastafari is excellent.
Patrick, our waiter, was a pleasure. All the staff went out of their way to
make our stay fun, enjoyable, and comfortable. Our room was kept neat and clean
by LaTonya. We never had to ask for anything! We will definitely be back next
year! |

The entertainment fell sharply short of our
expectation for an adult resort. i.e. extremely loud music, staff entertained
themselves not the guests, many scheduled events never happened nor were they
announced as canceled.
A prude beach at a notorious adult resort like
Hedo is totally out of place and a waste of the space. The nude beach was
smaller in size but packed with people all the time. We were left feeling that
the resort may be attempting to undertake a new theme not in line with that of
Hedonism. The desk attendants booking dining and off premise travel were rude
and unwilling to help. We felt we were intruding on their conversations with
fellow workers.
In closing, the destination country, resort buildings
and grounds were ideal but severely lacking in terms of cleanliness in the
disco, customer service and quality of entertainment and not at all what one
would expect for a destination Hedonism. The fun atmosphere we
expected wasnt there. |

| August 2008 - Louden |
 |
About Ourselves Louise and I are a sixties
couple who have extensive experience at Desire Cancun and other clothing
optional properties. We spent our honeymoon at Hedo II thirty years ago and
returned twice during the subsequent two years. Because of several poor
experiences we opted not to return to Jamaica. Chief among these was a feeling
of being unwelcome and a total indifference by the staff. More of this later.
We departed Ottawa Thursday, 14 August for a 7 day visit. We left at
7:00AM for Toronto then on to Mo Bay on Air Canada flights. We arrived in
Mo-bay about 1:00PM local.
Unfortunately, several other aircraft
arrived at about the same time. It took us 2:25 hours to clear immigration and
customs. Worst arrival I have ever experienced. The hall was hot, the line
endless and the procedures inefficient. One lady fainted in line, was injured
and removed by ambulance. Fortunately our bags were waiting for us in a corner
of the Customs hall. There was essentially no delay in Customs. Once through
this torture we reported to the Superclubs desk and were told a bus was about
to leave. A full minibus and one stop at Breezes and we were at Hedo about 1:35
hours later (traffic and a slow bus).
I believe
Superclubs, as one of the major industries of Jamaica, should use
their influence with the Government to improve the immigration / Customs
processing at Sangster airport. I would be happy to offer several simple
suggestions.
Check In
Check in was slow because of several
other couples from a previous arrival and the fact that only one receptionist
was on duty. Nice thing about Hedo is that they dont bother with wrist
bands. We were assigned room 415, a poolside room around the Quad. This was in
a block we had requested because of its proximity to the nude area and the main
reception/restaurant area. Turns out this is a room with double beds. Back to
reception and re-assignment to room 414 which has a king bed. This room was
exactly what we wanted and unlike our previous visit we had lots of hot water
and good water pressure throughout our stay. We were very impressed with the
cleanliness of the room and general appearance. Our housekeeper, Antoinette,
took good care of us. It should be noted that we were there during a period of
very low occupancy, perhaps 30%.
Entertainment Team
There is
no beating the entertainment provided at Hedo3. The E team is enthusiastic,
energetic and risqué. There are frequent daytime activities. Their shows
are outstanding. John the pianist in the piano bar has a great rapport with the
audience and we had several good evenings there. The karaoke nights are also
great fun.
Sports program The scuba program is still great
value. Check the regulator mouthpieces. Several have bites that are
nearly detached. I commented to the staff that these present significant
chocking hazards. I had one significant disappointment with the diving. I
wanted to do an Adventure Dive so I could work towards getting an Advanced
certification. I inquired about doing a night dive. I was told that one could
be arranged if there were at least four divers and that the cost was $50/diver.
I was assured by the divemaster that this dive would qualify as an Adventure
dive. I recruited other divers and we did the dive. The following morning I
attempted to have the Divemaster sign my logbook but he stated he was unable to
do so since he was not an instructor. Heated discussion ensued with the
Divemaster, Instructor and myself. Seems that several training items were not
met and that a standard night dive does not qualify as an Adventure dive. If
you intend to do any advanced diving make sure what you do will qlify. The
small Hobies are still in bad repair and you still cannot sail the larger
Hobie yourself. I misidentified the Hobies in my last report. They are 14
and 16 footers. We did not take advantage of the waterski or snorkel boat
activities.
Overall Staff
Much like Desire we found the
general staff to be friendly and helpful. We were always greeted when we met a
staff member on the grounds. Cooks, grounds men, pool boys and maintenance were
all welcoming.
Sensual and Erotic comparison
Nothing can
compare with the hot tub and beach side beds and playroom of Desire. I think
the ladies dress more sensuously at Desire but no doubt that can change from
day to day. During this visit I learned that the Security staff was not there
to prevent open sexual activity but rather to ensure that you are safe and
undisturbed. This made us more inclined to use the swinging beds in the nude
area. I suggest that a few more beds would be a welcome addition. I still fell
that the Security staff is too close.
Shortcomings
Our major
complaint would be the fact that smoking is still accepted in the piano bar and
disco. Its time to ban this practice in all enclosed areas of the
property.
There is a chronic shortage of beach towels. They only seem
to appear in the late afternoon and they are snapped up immediately. I believe
that part of the problem is that most guests do not deposit their used towels
in the bins provided. That means that they are left throughout the property and
the staff have to wait unnecessarily to insure that are not in use before they
are picked up. I suggest that two beach towels be supplied in each room and
that guests have to go to an exchange desk to get fresh towels.
In my
opinion the property is not being well maintained. There are many small things
that need repair. Many lights and fixtures are broken or not working. Our door
handle fixture was insecure. The balcony railing of the Scotch Bonnet
restaurant is rotting in places and needs a painting. A globe (flame shape) is
missing from one of the two large fixtures at the lobby entrance. There is
nothing to leave your things on outside of the steam or sauna rooms on the nude
side. A simple table or bench would be appreciated. As it is you have to leave
your things on the ground.
The soda/pop dispensers at some bars
dont always seem to work. Therefore, the bartenders bring over gallon
jugs of pop from another bar and use this flat stuff instead. Just
ruins the drink. Have also asked for Coke and rather than be told
they were out I was given a drink with Diet Coke. I cant tolerate
Aspartane so another drink quietly dumped onto the flowers. Asked for Vodka and
tonic but given Ting instead since there was no Tonic. Would far
prefer to be told something is unavailable than have someone try to pass
something off.
Music, most of it with a heavy beat, is piped along all
the walkways. This is nice, but I really dont appreciate it at 5:00AM.
Suggest that outdoor music be shut off between midnight and say 8:00AM.
Why are reservations required at Pastafari when the property is less
than half capacity? Even more curious is why the times must be 7:30 or 8:30.
All guests that we spoke to believe that the prude area is totally
wasted. Anyone going to Hedo knows that there is going to be nudity. The prude
area should be clothing optional. I believe that simply placing a simple wall
several feet from reception towards the prude pool would solve the problem of
hiding semi-clothed people from the public area. Besides, nudity
occurs frequently in the Prude area depending on the activity ie; body
painting, water slide activity, nude invasions etc. Make up your minds and go
clothing optional throughout.
Hedo to airport
Alas we have to
come back to reality. We were advised the day before departure of our pickup
time. We departed at 10:00 AM for a flight departure of 2:10 PM. This time we
had a coach. We made 2 additional pickups at Breezes and Starfish and a short
pit stop. The drive to the airport took 1:45 hours. The checkout notice states
that you must vacate the room by noon otherwise a $100 fee will be charged.
Unfortunately Hedo does not have the spa change facilities offered by Desire.
However, checkout is a breeze. Since all extras are paid for immediately as
they are booked all you do is go to the desk, leave your key then see the bell
man and state your room number and off you go. No wrist band to remove or chit
to give to the gate guard.
Summary
Both Hedo3 and Desire have
much to offer and I believe that what you will encounter will differ on each
visit. They both offer experiences of an erotic and sexual nature that are
difficult to find elsewhere. I dont like the close presence of Security
in the nude area of Hedo. Desire wins for PDAs and PDSs. Hedo III
wins for water sports, entertainment and other fun. Louise and I both enjoy the
couples only policy of Desire. We did have a few singles at Hedo but did not
find it a problem. Now after two visits at Hedo and six at Desire and in
consideration of recent comments about Desire I think our next
sensous holiday will be at Hedo3. |

This was our 2nd trip to Hedo III. Service,
friendliness of staff, and cleanliness were as good as before. Last year the
buffet food was just mediocre. However, this year it was wonderful! Great
selections and quality food. We'll be back next year! |

We just returned from H3, our Christmas
present to each other. After 4 years of going to the resort, we were very
impressed with the changes this year. Management was everywhere and making sure
that everyone was happy. The food was better than any trip in the last two
years. Even the chefs, bar managers, etc..were out asking questions and making
sure everyone was happy. Towels, if you couldn't find one someone would find
you one. Bartenders circulated the pools constantly. There were only 4 of the
entertainment staff left from last year, but they created all new shows and
they were REALLY good. The newbies were working hard to impress and they did.
Outside the disco, a lounge had been set up which was WONDERFUL for everyone to
socialize. They were trying this out and we hope that they keep it. The only
negative was the Piano Bar. The new guy just did not compare to our previous
experiences. Room service was on time everday with coffee and treats! .
Needless to say it was an amazing winter break and NOW I can't wait to go back
in June with our friends. |

We have been to Hedo on 4 prior visits.
This time we noticed a concerted effort to improve the customer service by the
resort staff. Much improved for Hedo 3. Castaways was excellent. |

| April 2007 - Steve & Darla |
 |
This was our second trip to Hedo 3; our
first was the second week of November 2006.
We went with another
couple that had invited us. We had discussed going for several years but never
did due to the same reservations many have, out of shape, age, conscientious of
what people would think, etc.
Unknowingly, we went the week that a
group called Kink in the Caribbean was booked, although we are not into that
lifestyle, those folks made for a memorable and enjoyable week, they were
polite, and never once pushed anything on anyone. The first trip, the resort
was full, as soon as we got there we headed straight for the nude pool, dropped
trou and jumped in head first, after 15 minutes, life was good. We are both
workaholics and true vacations are hard to enjoy. That week was the most
relaxing week either of us had ever experienced, before the week was over, we
knew we'd be back as soon as we could.
The following covers
comparisons of the two trips. We left for our second trip the 2nd week of April
2007.
First trip: the resort was full, 2nd trip the resort may have
been 50% - 60% full, many said it was busy the week before and this week was
slow due to spring break and many parents had plans with their kids elsewhere.
First trip, our non-stop Air Jamaica flight stopped in Atlanta for 1 hour, 2nd
trip, flight was delayed 1.5 hours in Chicago, non-stop to MoBay once we took
off. The airport has had numerous renovations since November trip.
We
got through customs quickly, went to the superclub room and were on our way to
Hedo 3 with in 20 minutes on both trips. The road construction has improved
immensely since November, a few rough areas, but much improved, it can only
continue to get better. Took slightly over and hour which may seem long to
some, but the bus ride is part of the experience, enjoy it, this is a great way
to meet other people that are also
Going to Hedo 3!
Both
trips; arrived, were checked in quickly with out hassle. First stay was in the
800 building, nice room, nice location, this week we stayed in the 400
overlooking the quad, this room was nice as well, there was pool noise coming
in the bathroom windows, but if you closed the bathroom door, there was
silence. Access to the entire resort is convenient from all locations. Never
any major hot water problems either week, if you choose to shower around 7:00
to 7:30pm the same time as everyone else, there will be less pressure and
possibly warm water. Solution - shower later or earlier. We spent all our time
at the nude pool, first trip; it was packed, around 5:00pm every night, PDA
everywhere, 2nd trip, very little PDA. The people make everything enjoyable and
the people both trips were wonderful, it is what you make of it, with whomever
you make it with.
Food was persistently good, naturally, some better
than others, it's all up to personal choice, and there are many. We dined at
Munason's 3 nights as that is our preference, the food is awesome, the
airconditioning works well in there and it is more of a social time with people
you've met, and peopleou've yet to meet. First trip, there were people
everywhere early evening, 2nd trip, it was slower.
Things didn't get
started until much later in the evening, but then again, it was a much smaller
group. The weather was awesome both trips. The staff was exceptional; we were
surprised how many of the staff remembered us from our first trip, it's a nice
feeling to get hugs for coming back. Since tips are unacceptable, we took
jewelry, and other small appropriate gifts to discreetly give to some of the
staff members for their assistance. Expressing gratitude is advantageous no
matter where you are staying.
Packing; less is good, first trip, 2
huge bags, 2nd trip, 1 huge bag and we still had a few things we didn't wear,
don't over pack, take what you need for evening wear for the nightly
festivities, (your naked most of the daytime) and remember to take a few things
that you take for granted at home, e.g. aspirin, tooth paste, condoms, all
these items are very expensive in Jamaica.
Then comes the sad day of
departure and back to reality, first trip; good ol' Air Jamaica delayed our
flight from 4:45 to 9:45pm, fortunately they informed us in advance and we
stayed at the pool and relaxed for the day. 2nd trip, got to the airport for
our 4:45 flight, good ol' Air Jamaica let us know at 4:40 that the flight will
not depart until 9:45. Setting in an airport for 7 hours blows big time, I can
best compare it to road rage. The first trip we got into Chicago at 1:00 am,
the last bus out was at 10:30 pm, the next bus out was at 6:00 am, we ended up
renting a limo for $125.00 to take us the 1.5 hour drive to our car.
2nd trip; due to strong head winds we arrived at O'Hare at 2:00 am, again, last
bus out was at 10:30 pm. This time, I had a civil but to the pointed discussion
with an Air Jamaica rep, they shelled out $130.00 for a ride to take us to our
car. Out side of Air Jamaica, we have no major complaints.
The EC's
try to get everyone involved in activities; even those that hesitate enjoy
themselves.
A nice long beach to walk on would be nice, but we still
enjoyed ourselves, we never strayed from the pool. Some of the resort is in
need of minor repair, but nothing that is unbearable. The evening attire was
creative and sexy, some left little for the imagination, and some left none.
You can drink till you float, you can smoke ganja till your green, but you'll
never run them out of either, they can produce it as fast as you consume it.
All inhibitions disappear, for us; it brought out a romance and passion that we
had misplaced years ago.
Trust us, you'll never want to lose what you
experience; you'll take it home with you.
As is life, Hedo 3 is what
you make of it, fine people, cold cocktails and good times can be enjoyed by
anyone if you take it upon yourself to relax and be open. We relaxed, enjoyed
ourselves, and met some wonderful people. Hedo 2, or 3, I have no idea if one
is better than the other, but we will be going back to 3 again in November
2007. |

We've decided to post a report that is
a more about the "sexy" aspects of Hedonism III. Yes the food was great, the
entertainment so-so, but we think the real character of the place is in the
attitude of the guests along with some of the downright sexy, sensual and often
erotic activities that go on there. If this report is not appropriate for your
site, feel free to edit it as you see fit, and we'll understand if you choose
not to post it at all.
Regards, CJ
Editors Note & Warning: This following
story is a bit on the risque side and if you are offended, please skip this
one. Our policy is usually not to publish outright "sex stories", but this
report is well written and does exemplify some of the "wilder side" of this
resort from time to time.
I want to thank
you guys for directing us to Hedo 3. It turned out to be an adventure neither
of us will ever forget.
When we arrived on Monday we quickly realized
that the resort was dominated by a large group of "lifestyles" type folk.
Probably 9 out of 10 couples we with this group. The folks in the group were
friendly enough, but when they realized that we weren't "hard core" so to
speak, we basically found ourselves on the outside looking in.
We
ended up making friends with two other couples, also "outsiders", and by
Wednesday our own little ad-hoc group numbered 6 couples. At least one in each
couple was pretty outgoing, and we had a great time, hanging out and doing
almost everything together. All of us had experience with being nude on
vacation before, but none of us could be classified as swingers (at least as
far as I know). My wife Sammy and I had been to a lot of nude places before and
as she is a little petite "knockout" we had bunches of "offers" in the past,
none of which we ever obliged. A few times I had broached the subject with her,
but was quickly shut down on it, which was OK with me anyway.
On
Thursday night after dinner our little group had the hot tub to ourselves as
the big group had overtaken the entertainment stage, main pool and waterslide.
We were all modestly "lubricated' with wine or other drink and most inhibitions
in our conversation fell by the wayside. A lot of talk about funny or sexy
"escapades" and fantasies were all discussed, most of it accompanied by
sidesplitting laughter by all. All of us guys had expressed our fantasies of
the girl-girl thing and the girls obliged us with a bunch of sexy group poses
and teasing.
One of the gals announced a bet that she could tell which
guy was who, just by sitting on their lap for 10 seconds each... and
thats when the games began. It all seemed to be in good fun and since
Sammy was in the middle of the challenging, I took it to be all right.
Surprising to be sure, but obviously Ok with her.
Suffice it to say,
after each gal had been blindfolded by a towel, and sat fairly carefully (and
rather nervously) on each of the guys laps, 2 out of 6 was the best
identification any of the girls could do, but who the heck cared.
This
is when things got a lot more physical. The gals challenged each other into
what basically ended up becoming a female group grope. I wasn't surprised that
Sammy seemed to love the attention but I was more surprised that she was
willing to get physical about it, was giving as much as she was getting and
seemed OK with the situation. Wow, what a turn on.
The big "gangsome"
starting wandering over from the other pool and disco and such so we took our
games to the little beach by the far pier.
Now granted, our games were
done with much laughter and in a game playing kind of way, and could have ended
innocently enough after the first hour, but by that time all inhibitions were
gone at least as far as Sammy and I were concerned, but for others it took a
bit longer.
While you wouldn't exactly call the "games" that went on
for the next few hours sex, it would be fair to call it everything but. Lets
just say that variations of the guessing games that evening escalated greatly
and any remaining nervousness seemed to fade away. This could never be
published if I went into too much detail, but over the next few hours the games
included the gals trying to identify the guys by using hands, mouths and
crotches on various male body parts. And the guys got well into the act by
trying to guess the gals identity using hands, mouths, taste and sometimes even
more.
The final and absolute best was another lap sitting
identification game that was much different and each about a minute longer than
the earlier ones in the evening. These were the best (and only) lap dances I
had ever had. And six in a row was incredible. the experience had very much of
a Viagra type effect on me (that was not wasted) and Sammy says that each of
her lap sittings were, how do you say it; very fulfilling.
For Sammy
and I, the night finished in an amazing session on one of the beach loungers at
about 3am and only about 30 feet away from 2 of the remaining couples.
Through Saturday when some of the group started to leave, I don't think anyone
acted overly embarrassed or regretful over the Thursday night activities, but
nobody really pushed the conversation or action towards a repeat performance
either.
The funniest thing about the whole thing may have happened
Saturday night at dinner when one of the gals out of the four remaining couples
made some remark like "I'm sure glad that we aren't like 'those people' who
were in the huge swingers group. Without missing a beat, her husband shot
back with something like... "Let me see, just the other night you got basically
fondled, fingered, ate out, s---ed and f---ed by aboud a dozen men and women
and your did the same to them. Now what is it exactly 'those people' do that
you don't like'?
I think the bottom line is that we didnt
go to Hedonism looking for what happened; in fact we were pretty defensive
about it. But for at least one evening we had a wonderful time with great
people, and with no strings or regrets. I think it all came about because there
was no pushing or pressure and it was just a bunch of folks exploring new
territory in a way they were comfortable with.
Well go back for
sure, stay in touch with our new friends and hope some or all can join us next
time. However, we wont be looking to duplicate the experience or try to
push our boundaries further. If it happens it happens, but if it doesnt
thats great too.
We think this resort has something for
everybody... as much or little as you want that to be. |

We had a great time at Hedo III. Wish we
stayed 4 nights instead of 3. Room and service was great. Only down side ! They
cleaned the pool during the day. As a result! no one was allowed in the pool.
GLB was very nice but we wish we were on the nude side. The walk over
was not bad but the prude side appeared to be dead. Service was very slow! It
was hard to get a drink or food delivered. It rained one day so we got a coupon
for a free night on our next trip. Is this ticket good only at GLB or cab we
use it at Hedo III?
Overall we had a great time. Weather was perfect
except for 1 day. Food was very good and we learned some new drinks. We did
meet a group of people and we are now trying to form a group trip. Will let you
know if this happens. Right now it looks like New Years or next
May. |

| May 2005 - Jim and Mary |

Our trip started out scheduled with Air
Jamaica at 6:30am on Friday. When we arrived at the airport, we were informed
that our flight had been cancelled even though we had called the flight info
line for AJ before we left the house at 2:30am and it was still listed as
leaving on time. After a brief wait, we were told we were rescheduled with
Northwest Air and leaving only 10 minutes later, however, with a layover in
Memphis and our arrival would be 2 hours later than originally scheduled. We
subsequently found out, others were not so fortunate and had been told they had
to wait all day until 7pm for their flight and one couple had been told they
had to wait until Saturday but were going to be put up in a hotel overnight!
Our return flight home worked out well for us, being informed by H 3
the day before of a 3 hour delay. The flight was actually 3 hours late, but we
remained on a non-stop flight with AJ that was only about half full. AJ is
still doing the check out at the resort and according to the AJ rep is only
doing so at the Superclubs resorts now, with no immediate plans to stop in the
future, but that is not guaranteed.
Customs lines were not as bad as
we had been hearing. Although the line was extremely long, there were plenty of
reps checking people in and we were through that line in about 35 minutes.
Travel from the airport was uneventful, and the usual fun making it to
the resort in 1 hours. Check in was simple and our rooms were ready upon
arrival, which was about 4pm. However, there were a few problems with rooms
being ready for guests throughout the weekend. Some were waiting past the 3pm
deadline, but of greater concern was being given an assigned room number in the
morning and that the room was ready, then later when our guests arrived,
finding that they were given a different room that was not ready. We managed to
get everyone settled in their room of choice and with minimal delays, everyone
seemed happy.
Everyone was extremely nice and helpful in
administration! Garfield, Paulette, Jerome, Adriane are just great people and
very pleasant to work with. Mr. Levee was not around most of the week, though
we had the opportunity to talk with him on our last day there and thank him for
our stay and for the trip prize giveaway.
We had a wonderful cocktail
party on Saturday with a few cold appetizers, and about 24 guests showed up for
that.
Monday's party on the Scotch Bonnet was fantastic! Garfield and
Adriane both came up along with Nick the EC leader and we had music and a
superb array of hot and cold appetizers. The web mistress for Hedonism1.com
came up and we invited her to say a few words to the crowd to promote their
forum. Also, Juli Ashton came to our party and said a few words and invited
people to join any excursions with her group if they were so inclined.
The drawing for the 3 day trip went over very well and the couple who won was
very excited to come back with us next year. There was a problem with the date
deadline on the voucher however, so Garfield is taking care of a new one he
will forward to us and then we will send on to this new couple. We also
purchased and gave out a Hedo 3 drink cooler and beach bag as consolation
prizes for the drawing and gave out Hershey's chocolate bars with a Thank you
from Jim and Mary with Spring Break wrapper made to cover them.
We
took a group of about 12 to Dunns Falls on Tuesday and they loved that
â none had been to see it before.
We also arranged
with Spike to give our group of ladies private pole dancing lessons in the
disco on Monday afternoon. He showed us how to try the more complex moves of
climbing the pole and though it was difficult for most of us, it was fun trying
and having the privacy to do so without the disco being full at night. Later in
the week, the Webmistress gave us another pole dancing lesson with some simpler
floor moves. Both sessions were a big hit with the ladies (and their guys who
watched) and they had a great time and got some great pictures to take home!
This was a very cohesive group for the week. People hit it off well,
though they also felt good about branching out and making more friends as the
week went on. Just what we wanted to see them do! They hung out together often,
but did not necessarily feel they had to be together all the time. It helped
too that the resort was at about 80% capacity and everyone was very friendly
and having a wild time all week. Security was around, but didn't interfere with
any fun even during the daytime hours!
Rooms were fine though there
seemed to be some ant problems in a few of the rooms, which was remedied easily
when sprayed. A/C was running poorly in the Johnson's room, but they declined
the offer to change rooms.
The Johnsons also renewed their vows at the
resort on Saturday, asking Jim and I to be witnesses. The resort did a very
nice job with the ceremony.
The Sonke's arrived on Friday and got to
meet with some of our group, but most were leaving on Saturday. As I previously
told you, we were unable to hook up with the Gasaways all week and Ravin Willis
arrived on Sunday and spent most of her first day and early evening with us.
She visited on and off with us over the next couple of days, but had made
several friends and seemed in good hands by the time we left with a room mate
she hit it off well with a female this time! J Unfortunately, while they were
friendly, we didn't have the opportunity to build up this group as much as we
had the Spring Breakers and in fact, the whole mood of the resort seemed much
quieter with a lower capacity during the week starting May 1st.
One
last note. Jim and I both got sick while we were there with a respiratory virus
of some sort. By late on Wednesday I had to receive a breathing treatment at
the nurse's station (I have a history of asthma) and we both had fever and
chills for one night and congestion for the next few days. We knew of at least
3 others who came down with similar symptoms during that week so something was
going around. The only other guest in our group who caught it was Wendy
Huelsman, who was still sick when they flew home on Saturday. |
