Paradise Lakes is 17 miles north of downtown Tampa,
Florida, near the freeway leading out of town. The resort does not have a
beach. The complex is near several other nudist resorts and close to many
restaurants and shopping centers. Another attraction is that it's close to
Busch Gardens and Disneyworld, too. Clearwater Beach, Tarpon Springs and
Sarasota are all nearby.

 |
| |
Tampa is easily reached from anywhere by car, planes and
trains. Tampa's modern airport is just 30-40 minutes away by car. There is a
toll way next to the Tampa Airport that will put you at the resort in less than
30 minutes if you're driving. Tolls cost about $1.50-$2, one way.

For visitors, Paradise Lakes operates just like any other
resort, except you're butt naked all the time. You can rent poolside hotel
rooms for two to multi-story condominiums that can sleep 6-8 people. You do not
have to be a member of any organization to visit or stay there, although ANNR
and TNS members enjoy a discount off of the daily service fees. Other services
include two (2) swimming pools, two hot tubs, many clothing (why-?) boutiques,
a nude disco called Club Fred, tennis courts, restaurants, a poolside snack
shop and bar, fishing lake and workout area.
|
|
| |
There are on site restaurants and bars to choose from. If
you choose to go off site, there are numerous dining opportunities just outside
the main gate of the resort from fast food and franchise meals to fine dining
in Tampa and Clearwater.
|
|
| |
Poolside hotel room rates start at about $75-85/room/night.
Condos start about $110/room/night. Some condos have a hot tub. There is a
charge of about $25/person/day for ground use, fees and taxes. Small discounts
are available for extended stays. Although poolside hotel rooms are Spartan,
they're our favorite since the rooms are closest to all the facilities in the
club house and at the pool.
Rates, terms, conditions, day fees and
discount policy are subject to change without notice.

You see them all here. A little more older, mature crowd
during the winter, especially those escaping the northern US weather and a
little younger crowd of singles and couples during the summer and fall. Guest
range from anywhere between late teens to 80's.

A Key West feel to the place, where everyone seems to know
everyone else--never seems to be a stranger around and just about everyone is
friendly. If you feel like you're a stranger, it's your own fault--say hello to
someone, make friends and enjoy yourself.

Numerous possibilities abound from Busch Gardens, to
Disneyworld and Orlando, to the perfect white sands on the Gulf at nearby
Clearwater Beach. Golf is available close by and all types of shopping and
dining are near. A visit to the older section of Tampa called Ybor City is fun
to see where the Cuban cigar makers and ethnic neighborhoods had their
beginnings. You can even choose to sail on a conventional (real "clothed")
cruise ship that stops there like Carnival or the Regal Empress.

The Changes in Lattitudes lounge includes the most
fun nude disco you can find.... with no clothes on. |

No beach |

There is a small lake at the back of the property,
adjacent to Lake Como for relaxing and fishing. |
| |
|
|
|
 |
Paradise Lakes has lots of fun, organized activities
for its members to enjoy, such as intense water volleyball games, dance
contests to courtesy buses to Florida ports to catch nude cruises that may
depart from there for its annual sailing. |
| |
|
|
|
 |
Nice touch is some of the distant condos on the
property include a golf cart to putter around in. |
| |
|
|
| |
 |
Lots of rules. If you stay in a hotel room adjacent
to the nude pool, you cannot bring in food or drink that you personally
purchased on the outside. |
|
|

Spring, summer and fall. Winter time weather can vary from
perfect to unpredictable since central Florida can be cool occasionally. Most
times it's nice, but you never know about Mother Nature.
|
|
| |
Figure out a way to have a beautiful Florida beach with
white crystal sand open to the ocean--but it's just a pipe dream since Paradise
Lakes is miles from the ocean.
