PORTS of CALL
The Ship Sails On Thursday July
27, 2014 at 4PM (subject to change)
If you are coming straight to the
cruise we strongly recommend arriving in Singapore at least one day ahead. This
will eliminate any issues related to travel delays as well as allow you to
decompress. In order to get to the ship, just take a taxi from the hotel. If
you are also booking our pre-cruise package (3 nights in Bangkok and 2 nights
in Singapore then all transfers on land are included).
Day 1 Embark
the m/s Paul Gauguin in Singapore. Airport for Singapore is: Changi Airport
(SIN)
This may be the perfect Asian city to spend a few days, for Singapore
has everything you can imagine, in abundance. It is also one of the safest
cities in the world. At first glance, Singapore appears surprisingly modern
— but look again. A harmonious blend of Chinese, Malay, and Indian
cultures have inspired the city’s cuisine, art, and architecture, creating
a place rich in contrast and color. Brimming with unbridled energy, Singapore
and its welcoming people, embody the finest of both the East and West.
Singapore is one of the most enjoyable cities in Southeast Asia. As you zoom in
from one of the world's best airports along the lushly tree-shaded expressway
or on the zippy MRT train line, you'll quickly realize this is no
traffic-snarled Bangkok. Then, as you are drinking and dancing until dawn in the
city's pubs and clubs, or sipping a cocktail surrounded by the colonial
elegance of a Raffles Hotel veranda you will understand the unique and
civilized nature of Singapore.
Day 2 Kuala Lumpur
A
delightful mix of cross-cultural influences and traditions, Kuala Lumpur
radiates an exciting, enticing charm, which will no doubt pique your interest
throughout your stay. Let the city's warmth embrace you as you lose yourself in
its unique blend of tradition, culture old world charm and new world
sophistication. Explore its nooks and crannies, and you'll discover captivating
sights, sensational sounds, aromatic smells and fantastic people. Kuala Lumpur
never sleeps at night as it is one of the best city in Malaysia with nightlife
entertainment. If you’re looking for the best clubs for partying,
it’s all can be found in Kuala Lumpur.
Day 3 Sea
Day
Day 4 Phuket
Phuket seduces honeymooners, heiresses,
surfer babes and a host of pleasure seekers from around the world.
Thailand’s largest and most popular island, Phuket is as colorful as it is
cosmopolitan and one of the world’s most famous dream destinations.Phuket
(poo-get) boasts some lush inland vistas, including a few remote swathes of
rainforest on Ko Yao, but the island really comes into its own along its
western shoreline, where hunter-green foliage meets the turquoise waters of the
Andaman Sea. The mile upon sandy mile of coastline boasts tons of water sports,
delectable restaurants and decadent resorts. Whether it’s swanky resorts
of the Laguna complex, the relaxed and less developed beach of Nai Han, or the
night markets of old Phuket Town, Phuket has something to satisfy every
appetite. Just don’t forget your Speedos
Day 4 Ko Phi
Phi
Ko Phi Phi, or Phi Phi Island, is one of the most talked about
places in Southeast Asia, with its natural beauty and reputation for good times
putting it firmly on the map of must see places. The beauty of the island is
unparalleled, even in a region of the world renowned for its stunning
destinations. Limestone cliffs, turquoise waters, white sand beaches and miles
of trackless forest make Phi Phi a perfect tropical island
Day 5
Krabii
Krabi, a province on southern Thailand’s Andaman coast, is
an almost otherworldly region of labyrinthine archipelagos, where islands seem
to erupt vertically out of the sea and secluded beaches are only accessible by
colorfully adorned long tail boats. Krabi’s myriad of bays and coves have
sheltered pirates, merchants, and sea gypsies for thousands of years and
archaeological evidence indicates that Krabi was originally inhabited as early
as 25,000 - 35,000 years ago!
Day 6 Phi Phi Le
Phi Phi
Island is Thailand's island-superstar. You may have seen it in the movies when
parts of the movie "The Beach" with Leonardo DiCaprio was filmed there. It's
the topic of conversation for travelers all over Thailand. For some, it's the
only reason to touchdown in Phuket. Even with all the hype, it doesn't
disappoint. Phi Phi's beauty is a large chunk of the allure. The islands, when
approached by boat, rise from the sea like a fortress. Sheer cliffs tower
overhead, then give way to beach-fronted jungle. It's love at first
sight.
The second part of the why-we-love-this-place story is attitude:
few places on the planet are this laid-back. Of the two islands, one is
completely free of human inhabitants (Phi Phi Leh), and the other is without
roads (Phi Phi Don). There's no schedule, no hustle-and-bustle, no reason to be
in a hurry.
