Orient Beach FYI, in case
you have heard bad news about nudity at Orient Beach we can confirm that nudity
on the beach, on the floats and in the water is perfectly acceptable in the
beach area adjacent to Club Orient but is not tolerated outside that area.
Nudity was also not a problem on Happy Beach which we approached via water taxi
from Grand Case Beach Club.
Grand Case Beach Club We
wanted to tell you that all the arrangements went smoothly and according to
plan. Island Rep NV Transfer were right on the ball and on time both on arrival
and departure. The Grand Case Beach Club was everything we expected.. We would
recommend it to others and would happily make a return trip to this venue. A St
Martin vacation is anything you want to make it - we wanted peace & quiet
to unwind qand decompress and found it at GCBC but could have easily have hit
the town in the Margot Phillipsburg had the mood taken us. GCBC is a quality
location on which to base a St. Martin vacation. |

RE: Hotel L'Esplianade St Martin
We choose to stay here (and it is an excellent accommodation) because within
walking distance there is a lovely little beach to go topless on in addition to
great restaurants so we do not have to drive after the bottle of wine we
usually get. Folks are friendly and several remembered us after our first
visit.
We go to Orient Beach during the day and frequently see nudists
doing their morning walk on the whole beach - later though they tend to stay on
the Club O side. Topless is OK everywhere on the (Orient) beach.
Pinel
Island was a fun side trip and we found one secluded beach to go nude on. We
stay away from the Dutch side for the most part because of the traffic. We
enjoy our June visits - the crowds are not bad at all - except for the cruise
ships - and the weather has been excellent. |

Arriving in St. Martin late in the
afternoon, we were struck with the bustling busy-ness of the city. Our cab
driver drove us through the Dutch portion of the island and into the French
side, where we saw all sorts of interesting shopping opportunities, great clubs
and hotels. St. Martin is thriving! Our trip to Esmeralda took about 40 minutes
and we were greeted by friendly desk and bell people on our arrival who
couldn't wait to help us get settled. Our room was fresh, bright, spotlessly
clean, and white with a small kitchen (Yay! We could make coffee!) and a very
comfortable bed. The rooms are in small complexes, each with its own swimming
pool. Flowers were everywhere and it was delightfully balmy. We quickly changed
into beach wear and set out to see what Orient Beach looked like. It looked
like we were going to like it! Walking the beach in water up to our ankles, we
passed several other hotels and ended up at the Bikini Beach bar where we
eavesdropped on the animated French conversations of a lot of attractive young
people and enjoyed a very nice red wine. We dined there on great hamburgers and
French fries and watched the owner cutting out and painting large cardboard
fish which she was going to hang from the ceiling on New Year's Eve for their
Under The Sea party.
We breakfasted in the Esmeralda restaurant the
next morning after a great night's sleep on fresh fruit, perfectly poached eggs
and incredible bread, impeccably served, then headed for the beach where
chairs, lounges and umbrellas were already in place. The beach service was
great and we discovered that all we had to do was think it would be nice to
have a glass of wine and someone would arrive to take our order. We enjoyed a
really good pizza on the beach featuring fresh tomatoes and basil and the water
was warm enough for several swims. Reading, chatting, sleeping and watching
parasailors and parasurfers skim the waters in front of us made for a pleasant
day.
Dinner in the (forgot the name of the restaurant there, James,
but you'll be able to find it) was an exquisite experience with moderate
portions (mercifully!) of perfectly prepared pasta, fish and salad, and, of
course, a delightful glass of wine or two were a memorable experience. We have
seldom had a meal more beautifully prepared, and served in a setting where
flowers and candles created an ambience of relaxation and peace.
The
beach at Esmeralda was perfect! White, powdery sand, not a rock anywhere in
sight, nice surf for swimming and the dress code was whatever your heart and
body desired: Nude, thongs, bathing suits, topless, all were fine. With
spectacular weather....how delicious to be sunning nude in December at the
beach....fabulous food, courteous and quick service, we are rating Esmeralda
and St. Martin's at the top of our "Let's Go Again Soon" list. |

Club O is a nice place with a gorgeous
beach. We found the resort a bit too quiet. The bar typically was seldom
crowded and often closed by 10:00pm. Many guests were up at 6 am so they did
not stay up late. The typical age of a guest for this time was 50s or 60s. We
found the roadway to enter the resort to be a disaster. The pot holes are large
enough to swallow a small car. The euro has made the French side outrageously
expensive. Prepare to pay $30 to $40 per person US for a simple meal. Add
extras or bottles of wine and the cost goes up significantly. Be prepared for
sticker shock on meals and drinks. |

Mount Vernon Hotel
It's really not
an aunatural hotel, but we turned it into one. Anyione being in the Caribbean
at that time realizes the solitude of the season, no gawkers, peepers or perves
around. We originally wanted to stay at Club Orient, but it was out of our
range. The walk down the beach to the club was perfectly refreshing. We had
days though when the revelry from the night before made the walk too painful.
At that time we started just to disrobe right at our little section of
paradise. To make a long story short, the rest of the guests followed suit soon
after, we started our own little nudist resort! Goes to show you, everyone just
wants to be nude! |

i would like to tell you that we again had
a great time, bt i can't. this was our 9th trip to c/o and our unit(28)was
infested with cockroaches! we spent 2 weeks breathing bug spray, having bugs
crawling in the food, on our toothbrushes, in our clothes, even in the bed
while we were in it! the staff seemed indifferent to our problems with a "isn't
mother nature wonderful" answer. we will not go back to the club orient ever
again ! |

Although my husband & I didn't stay at
the resort, we found the beach to be ideal. The nude side was less crowded than
the textile side & the sand & surf were perfect. Beach umbrellas &
lounge chairs were renting for $5 each per day. Our belongings were quite
safe(within view at all times). No one bothered us, but there were plenty of
gawkers. Overheard one "Bubba" from the sticks tell the cab driver that he had
already chosen 3 of his future wives from the nude ladies he viewed on the
beach. |
