Here are a few trip reports submitted by some of our clients.

March 2006 - Kent
The interesting thing about Blue Village Resort is the wooden hut with a big open shower area. My wife & 2 kids enjoy the shower together. However, beach at Krabi is not suitable for swimming. Just being overcrowded with long tail boat. We took a long tail boat for 1000 Baht to Poda island for a great swim. No nudist but topless. As for Phi Phi, its a haven for divers. We stayed at Patong in Phuket, but Patong beach not so nice. Rented a jeep to Karon for swimming. Spotted alot of tourist that are topless with only a G-string attached. My wife also went topless. We got the intention to go nude, but got to respect Thai.

My wife and I were in Phuket for a holiday and stayed at Bangtao Beach Resort. We found this place which was paradise! A small resort at the northern part of Phuket. Small little boutique type resort with only 10 chalets available. Because of its size, everything turns out to be quite personal where everyone greets you by name. Very friendly, locally operated resort. No swimming pools but a private beach. As we are of Asian descent, we still feel quite shy showing our bodies in front of so many people. This is a perfect place where people are few and far between. My wife went topless, and only wearing a skimpy thong. And I was also in a thong. We even had a massage on the beach. It was a wonderful feeling. Toplessness is very rampant in Thailand as the majority of tourists are from Europe but no nudity. This will be a good resort to go nude. ( we didn't have the guts to.) Very highly recommended.

My wife and I have visited Thailand several times, but we most enjoy going to Phuket. We enjoy the buzz of the commerical area so we usually stay in the Patong Beach area. Although I have not seen any full nudity in Phuket, certainly topless bathing is very very commmon. My wife has gone topless at the beach as well as the hotel pool. In the three trips we have been to Phukte, she has never once been told to cover up. Just use common sence, at the beach or pool, its ok, anywhere else, you have to cover up.

I agree with you about Asia needing a full promoted nudist beach resort. My wife and I certainly hope that day will come soon.

Jean reports:
Koh Samui has a couple of beaches at Chaweng and Lamai. Phangan Island has Haad Rin Beach and Sunrise Beach, just north of Koh Samui. Lighthouse Beach is clothing-optional, too.

Always check with the locals to confirm any of this before dropping your drawers!

Francesco - Italy:
Maiton Island (private island) is near Phuket (30 minutes by fast boat). There is only one resort there with deserted beaches off the property, now managed by an international company. Another place in Thailand is Bulon Lae in the Tarutao Islands between Malaysia and the Thailand sea.

I have been to Thailand many times and several times to Phuket for vacation. As I cannot stand a bathing suit to stay on a beach, I have been looking for deserted beaches where naturism could be possible. So, I know where one (beach) where this is possible. You just need ground transportation to get there, no boat. During the week, there are very few Thai people there, you might see some, but they don't care about you if you don't wear a bathing suit. Just beware of theives...there is a village in the vicinity....two times, the mirrors on my motorbike disappeared.

I would like this beach to stay clean and quiet, so I hesitate to say where it is. But, in another way, it would be good that this island (Phuket) gets started with naturism, and when you are the only nude on the beach, you don't feel so good regarding local people. So this beach (on Phuket) is Mai Kao Beach and is located at the north west top of the island. We could make this place a peaceful paradise for nudist. I have not been there for a couple of years so the place may have changed since my last visit.
